How fast/fit do I need to be?
Running H.I strives to be a safe and inclusive space for all. To attend the social run, all you need to be comfortable with is jogging/running for 30 minutes. Sometimes we cover 3K (2 miles) and sometimes we get further, we always run at a pace which everyone can manage; it is a 'SOCIAL RUN' after all.
To attend the threshold session, we advise that you are already running regularly and can complete roughly an hour of continuous running.
Gym sessions are open to all; movements can be adapted and adjusted. We just advise that you are well enough and fit enough to be exercising.
What do I need to bring?
For run sessions, ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. This includes a hi vis or light for dark evenings. You also need a suitable pair of trainers to run in. Running H.I reserves the right to prevent individuals from participating if they are not appropriately prepared; this is for your safety.
For gym sessions, please dress appropriately for exercise. A yoga mat and resistance bands can be very useful too, if you have them.
We recommend bringing water and a small snack, particularly if you are participating in multiple sessions on one day.
What if I am injured?
The coaches at Running H.I are not medical professionals. We always advise that you consult a specialist before undertaking any exercise with us.
If you have a managed injury or condition, then please make us aware so that the session can be adapted where required to make the classes more comfortable for you.
Can I attend if I am not a member of Running H.I or DNA Gym?
Yes! Non-members are very much welcome!
Runners on the 'Advanced Plan' with Running H.I can access all classes and sessions at no extra cost.
